One of the great problems of Riot Games is that League of Legends is a slave of its release date. Although the title has received constant updates since it was released more than a decade ago, some of the elements that are part of it have been left behind due to the little profitable it would be an investment that would put everything up to date. A good example is splash arts, where we find great differences between the newly launched and those who have been in the title for years.
The future of the Splash Art de League of Legends
As the years have passed the situation has improved and many of those who were the worst Splash Art of the story of League of Legends are only a bad memory. However, an amateur wanted to show Riot Games a new possibility for the illustrations with which he announces both aspects and champions. For this, he collaborated with one of the artists of the developer who sent him all the material and created a work capable of taking away the hippies that changes a key premise.
The main difference is in the creative process. While Riot Games maintains 2D illustrations throughout the creation of Splash Art, it used different 3D modeling to create an image that offers something more freedom and then capturing a snapshot like the one we see in the photo. Something much more expensive and that would greatly increase the demand when continuing to launch cosmetics on each patch, but which gives rise to an impressive result to which the developer can not reach with the current method.
The additional inconvenience is that League of Legends has more than a thousand SKINS available and this is a very large change that would force carrying out a complete reconstruction. In addition, splash arts are not such an important part of monetization and safely would be considered an extremely low investment for an extremely scarce return. However, there is no doubt that it will arrive at the day in which they end up carrying out the process.
